First car: Renault Dauphin. In tight parking spaces, I back in the car and two friends lift the front and carry it in.

TV appearances: Johnny Carson Show, Brady Brunch (the famous Hawaii episode), Kona Coast movie with Richard Boone (Sam played sidekick Kimo, Lucky Luck was in it too!), Don Ho TV show.

How you kick back: Relax in the garage with friends. Friday, Saturday nights they drive by, if they see me in the garage they come over.

You are married to: Marsha Kalima, daughter of Hawaii entertainer Jesse Kalima.
 
Favorite Joke: What do you call a Hawaiian guy with one short leg? "Not even." What do you call a Hawaiian guy with two short legs? "Sam Kapu!"
