There are so many moments! Songs like "Home in the Islands" by the Brothers Caz, and "I miss you my Hawai'i, by Na Leo, bring tears to our eyes. Since 2000, we have visited the islands, and have purchased many CD's and have found several internet radio stations, such as Hawaiian105 KINE. It brings back memories and also helps us keep track of Hawai'i. And when we visit, we turn the dial to 105.1 and *voila* there it is!

There is no other music like Hawaiian music – the joy, peace, beauty and yes sorrow of the islands is clearly voiced in its music. If you are a musician in Hawai'i you can be known forever and the songs are always loved. It is not just a passing fad when Hawaiian is spoken in music.

I have played and sung many songs in Hawaiian and love to see musicians when we come there. I learn about what the songs mean, and also read books on Hawaiian history and the wrongs that were done years ago. Yes, IZ sings "yet in all you find Hawai'i" in his famous "78" song, and despite the commercialism and tourism, you DO find Hawai'i in the soul of the islands. I pity those who just come to visit Hawai'i and never catch the soul.

The last time we saw the group, "Mauna Lua", at Dukes, I talked to Bobby and he invited me to bring my guitar next time and play with them sometime. Now, where else can you get someone famous tell you THAT?

Mahalo for your soul, Hawai'i. We love you! We will be back to stay soon!
