Aloha from Ohio. I was born in Hawaii in '43 and lived in Kalihi among other places. I had not been back home until 1995 having left there when only six years old. Needless to say, I fell in love with my home, the paradise of the Pacific. In 1997 my now dearly departed wife and I were married on the pier of volcanic rock at Waikiki outside the Outrigger Reef at sunset.

There are many songs that I love but I suppose the group that appeals to me the most is Kahauanu Lake Trio, the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau is another group that I enjoy listening to. Mom used to play Hawaiian music frequently while I was growing up consequently it is in my blood. I listen to Hawaiian105 KINE on my computer all day long now that I am retired. And in three days I will return to my "roots" again for a two week stay.
