My most memorable music is when I heard 'I miss you, my Hawai'i" by Na Leo Pilimehana in 2000.

My mother passed away earlier in the year and since she last lived in Kailua, the opening bar about feeling the wind traveling down the Koolau, made me reflect upon my mother's life.

Even now, after all these years, I still can see my mom enjoying life as she lived it, with zest and a vigor that belied her age.
