Acclaimed local Hawaiian artists Brother Noland and John Cruz have both equally placed their stamp on the local and mainland scene. Brother Noland’s “Coconut Girl” birthed the Jawaiian style and has appeared in many major motion pictures, while John Cruz contributed to the album “Slack Key Guitar Vol. 2,” with song “Jo Bo’s Night,” which won the album the first ever GRAMMY for Hawaiian Music.
