Jamarek is Honolulu’s premiere African dance band. Its members have performed around the world and now play for the people of Hawai‘i, bringing African and Latin-inspired music to the people of the Pacific. For this concert, the band will play selections from their album “Fechal” (meaning “dance!” in the West African language Wolof), as well as an array of newly arranged songs.
